I have a background that's rooted in traditional media. On this page, you'll find studies in charcoal and pastel, including a three-panel drawing piece depicting the histories of the peoples of Mexico. This was largely inspired by the great muralist masters of 20th century Mexico and their depictions of the Mexican people, especially indigenous life. In my exploration of muralist storytelling techniques and curiosity regarding Mexican history, I created a piece about Pre-Colombian life, the European conquest/invasion, and the future for present Chicanos.
